The team is affiliated to the Power Electronics, Machines and Control (PEMC) Group, Faculty of Engineering, University of Nottingham, ranked in the European top 30, with over 90% ‘internationally excellent’ research. The Faculty of Engineering is ranked in the top UK 5. With over 300 research active staff and over 600 PhD students, it attracts over €25M/year from various sources, both public and private. It has expertise and dedicated resources to manage large scale multi-partner projects. The PEMC Group is worldwide leading in power electronics. It currently has over 90 staff (11 academics). In the last 5 years research contracts worth £18M were undertaken. The Group has international reputation in power integration and conversion in an expanding range of application areas (e.g., renewables, automotive,…). The Group experimental facilities are recognized as being one of the best in the world and have been awarded Marie Curie Training Centre status.
